Camps
Pine View Stables & Riding Institute offers week long summer camps and year round day camps. Activities include lots of fun with the horses, riding, grooming, games, crafts, and educational time. A wide range of ages and abilities are allowed.
*2008 Summer Camp schedule is June 16th - 20th and July 28th - August 1st. Junior camp is for ages 3 - 6 and is from 9 am to noon. Regular camp is from 9 am to 3 pm. Campers pack their own lunches but snack and drink is provided. Please call for more information (336) 626-7111.
Lessons
Suzy Shiflet is the wonderfully qualified riding instructor at Pine View Stables & Riding Institiute. Several students started with Suzy have excelled in many ways, such as 2000 UPHA National Equitation Champion, Jill Sahajdack and in 2006 two of her riders placed 9th at the World Championships.
If you are wanting to learn how to ride for pleasure or for competition, you will find what you are looking for at Pine View Stables. Lessons are set up in classes Monday through Friday and by appointment on Saturday.
Monday: 3:30- 4:30; 5:00- 6:00; 6:30- 7:30; Kinder Ponies at 6:00- 6:30;
Tuesday: 3:30- 4:30; 5:00- 6:00; 6:30- 7:30
Wednesday: 3:30- 4:30; 5:00- 6:00; 6:00- 7:00
Thursday: 3:30- 4:30; 5:00- 6:00; 6:30- 7:30
Friday: 3:30- 4:30; 4:30- 5:30; Desperate Horse Wives 5:30- 6:30 and then dinner out!!!
Kinder - Ponies
Kinder - Ponies is a great program that is offered on Monday evening from 6:00 - 6:30. This is a fun play group for 5 yr olds and under. Kinder - Ponies was started to introduce horses to younger children. As the children grow up they will be very comfortable around these animals. The ponies used are "Cricket," "Buddy Lee," and "Sesame Street." Other toys, such as the swings and a slide, give the children exercise in between riding the ponies.
Desperate Horse Wives
Desperate Horse Wives is a women's riding group on Friday evenings at 5:30- 6:30. The group was started for women to come out and get a little exercise while having fun with other women. After the women ride, most of them enjoy going out to eat.
Birthday Parties
Our Birthday parties are two hours long on Saturday's and Sunday's. There are three ponies that are used for the parties, "Cricket," "Buddy Lee," and "Sesame Street." The children get pony rides, there is a place to hang a pinata if you choose, and a lounge to decorate. The lounge has a sink, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, counter space and tables.
